!. Royal Canin Puppy Food Dry ( chicken breast boiled and some canned puppy food, full of enticing smells to promote eating during the move.

Your puppy needs frequent quiet time just like infant or toddler, too much romping or playing is not good for the puppy. Can over exert and cause blood sugars to drop. It is
2. An Exercise Pen or Play Yard. This is very important to keep your puppy safe while your away, busy, or puppy needs rest. Just like an infant, you would not give the baby the run of the house. This is a "safe haven" for your puppy. This is where you will keep your puppies bed, toys, food, and water in the beginning until your puppy matures enough to know the layout of their new home. You may order online or find at Amazon, Petco, etc at a very reasonable price. important that till a pup is at least 6 months of age that he/she have limited play time of one to two hours at a time that is supervised. When a pup is not out exercising and playing under supervision it should be in its playyard.
3. We highly recommend a water bottle with the bottled water that can attach easily to your puppy's play yard. This will keep your puppy dry and safe from stepping in his or her water, getting chilled or soiled. Will give your puppies access to water at all times.
4. You will need a soft cozy bed for your puppy and toys that that are "puppy proof". Please beware of treats, there has been many recalls on treats and I make mine from scratch. Make sure it is a trusted treat that you have googled to make sure "no recalls".
5. Potty Pads
6. Please remember your Yorkie has "No" fear of heights until nearer adulthood. So as much as you may want to....please do not sleep with your Yorkie Puppy or have on couch or high places without supervision. That is why the Play Yards are a lifesaver for you and your new Yorkie Puppy. An ounce of prevention is truly worth a pound of gain in this instance.
7. Most of all give your puppy plenty of love and "patience is a virtue" with the new puppy. It takes a puppy about 9 to 12 months to mature enough to finally get it with learning, from when they have to eat, to when they feel full, heights, voice commands, to potty training. We promise you all the Love you give to your new Yorkie Puppy will be given back to you "without conditions". So enjoy this wonderful "Puppy Stage", they grow up before you know it.
Starting off on the right paw
1. Puppy Proof Your Home is so very important!
Yorkies are very curious by nature. They will run around your home (and they are FAST!) and chew on everything within their reach so it is very important that you remove the potential hazards from all areas of your home where your puppy will spend most of his/her time in the first few months.
• Tape loose electrical cords to baseboards
• Store household chemicals and other hazardous items out of your puppy’s reach
• Remove plants and rugs
• Remove or repair “unsteady wobbly” furniture
• Block you pups access to the back of television cabinets, computer desks, wall units and other furniture
• Install baby gates
• Set up the playpen
When you think you have completely puppy-proofed your home, take a moment to lie down on the floor and look around once more from a puppy’s eye view to be sure that you have puppy proofed everything. You should also look for items that could fall off of a table or countertop as they can injure your puppy as well as items they can reach if they climb onto a sofa or chair. Oh, and don’t forget the things you have stashed under the bed!
